Kelly Ripa |
Born October 2, 1969 in New Jersey, Kelly Ripa is the first in her family to go into acting, encouraged by her manager, Cathy Parker. She attended Camden Community College and performed in local theater productions, including HMS Pinafore, The Wizard of Oz, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
Feature films include Marvin's Room (1996) and The Stand-In (1999).
Ripa received the 1996 Soap Opera Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actress and, with Mark Consuelos, her on- and off-screen husband, the 1997 Soap Opera Award for Hottest Romance. She has two Emmy nominations, 1993 and 1999 (Best Supporting Actress).
Ripa and Consuelos live in New Jersey with their son, Michael Joseph.
