Mark Consuelos
Mateo Santos
February 1995 to present

Consuelos was born in Zaragoza, Spain but moved to this country at an early age and grew up in Lebanon, Illinois and Tampa, Florida.  He was graduated in 1994 from the University of Florida with a degree in marketing.

Acting credits include Hello, Dolly! at the Looking Glass Playhouse in Illinois and TV guest appearances on SeaQuest, Fortune Hunter and others.  He has appeared off-Broadway in Howard Korder's Boy's Life, Orphans by Lyle Kessler and Richard Vetere's One Shot, One Kill, at the Penguin Repertory Theater.  Recently, Consuelos filmed Aaron Davidman's American Canyon, a Berkeley Theater Project short.

Mark Consuelos and his wife, Kelly Ripa (AMC's Hayley Vaughan Santos) snagged the 1997 Soap Opera Award for Hottest Romance, and in May 1999 he was awarded his second consecutive American Latino Media Arts Award for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama.

Consuelos enjoys traveling (and goes to Italy once a year), softball and soccer.   He lives in new Jersey with his family
