Lynne Moody began her professional career after studying acting at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Complementing her stage credits were a number of roles in feature films including appearing opposite Richard Pryor in Some Kind of Hero, White Dog, The Evil starring Richard Crenna and Joanna Pettet, Las Vegas Lady with Stella Stevens and Scream, Blacula, Scream with Pam Grier.

Lynne has been a regular on That's My Mama, Soap, and Knots Landing before joining General Hospital.

She has also starred in numerous television movies including co-starring with Deborah Raffin in Nightmare in Badham County. She starred in the mini-series, The Atlanta Child Murders and one of the most memorable roles for Lynne was playing Irene, Alex Haley's great grandmother in the critically acclaimed, history making ABC mini-series, Roots with LeVar Burton, John Amos and Georg Stanford Brown and then reprising the role in Roots II: The Next Generation.
