A fan favorite, Kurth began his career in daytime drama as Justin Kiriakis on Days of our Lives.  After a four-year stint on the show, he took over the role of Ned on General Hospital in 1992. 

Kurth was born in Billings, Montana and always had an interest in the arts, particularly acting and music.  He worked is many musical productions on the stage, both in his hometown and on Broadway, where he starred as the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance.  He has worked as an actor and director in the Los Angeles Equity waiver theatrical arena as well as in the musical review, Over the Rainbow: The Music of Harold Arlen, and Sondheim: Part 3, an annual STAGE event that benefits AIDS-related services in Los Angeles.

Kurth writes and performs with partner, Christian Taylor (Kurth and Taylor) and the band has released three albums, “Kurth & Taylor,” “Half & Half,” “Nashville” and “Freedom”.  They have received critical praise from Billboard magazine. Co-star Rena Sofer (ex-Lois) captured Wally’s heart while working together.  The two married on March 31, 1996 in Big Sky, Montana and live in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles with their daughter, Rosabel, and Wally's daughter, Meghann.  At the time of this writing, they are amicably separated with no plans for divorce.
