Mark Derwin plays Dr. Ben Davidson, a talented surgeon who became caught up working for the mob.  On the run from them, he came to Llanview and worked at the Crossroads Bar, where he met Viki Carpenter, his true love.  Ben has a brother, Sam Rappaport.  His sister, Grace died in an accident that was caused when Asa Buchanan left her locked inside a building on his property that was being renovated. 

Mark Derwin was born on October 28, 1960, in Park Forest, Illinois.   In February, 1999, he created the role of Dr. Ben Davidson  on One Life To Live. 

Mark is no stranger to daytime TV, having played Adrian Hunter on The Young and the Restless from 1989-90, and Guiding Light's A.C. Mallet from 1990-93.  Following his work on Guiding Light, Mark moved to California where he starred on The Bonnie Hunt Show and made guest appearances on television series such as Veronica's Closet, Cybill, Party of Five, and Touched by an Angel.  

His work in theatrical films include Minus Man, Evil Obsession, and The Ballad of the Nightingale, with Virginia Madsen.   

Mark resides in New York City with his wife, Alecia, who is an actress.
