MARCH 2000 - PRESENT

Darlene Vogel plays Dr. Melanie MacIver, estranged wife of Dr. Colin MacIver, and sister of Lindsay Rappaport Buchanan.  Melanie was working at Cherryvale Clinic where she was constantly reminded of her husband’s infidelity, while he was having affairs with several of the nurses.  Melanie first met Bo Buchanan when she ran over his motorcycle in the parking lot at a roadside bar.  Bo was furious as he looked at his wrecked motorcycle, but anger quickly turned to passion as he and Melanie were both trying to flee their inner pain and they spent a passionate night together. Several months later, Bo was shocked to find Melanie in Llanview and even more shocked to learn that she and Lindsay, who he was involved with, were sisters.

Darlene was born in northern California, the youngest of six children.  She spent her first five years in Wisconsin, before moving to Danbury, Conn.  Darlene attended Manhattan's Fashion Institute of Technology and began her career doing modeling work  and several commercials.  Many viewers recognize Darlene from the "Milk Does a Body Good" campaign.
