Welcome to ME!!
I used to have a long disclaimer here for the confused and manners-challenged people who don't know the difference between a "rumor" or "gossip" and an actual spoiler, but screw it. Angry, bitter, small minded people will always talk their trash to compensate for their own 1st chakra frustrations and inadequacies. When you read those vicious people on the message boards, just shake your head and remember they aren't getting any play, so they're grumpy. Pity them, then dismiss them.
to everyone who donated to Eye on Soaps this past week! Your contribution is very much appreciated. If you haven't yet contributed to EOS (this week is when our site fees are due), please considering clicking on the PayPal or Options buttons above to learn how you can help us to stay around on the net. Your support is what keeps us going each month! Thanks from both Katrina and myself, as well as the rest of the EOS staff. AMC
Despite the inner turmoil that we see behind the business scenes of Fusion, the votes are in for The Sexiest Man in America. You read it here first, folks! The winner is... me! I didn't want want to brag before, but I want to share it with you before it's announced on October 10th. To view the portfolio that melted their hearts and swayed the votes, click here. I may have to decline it to the 1st runner up because of the traveling involved. I mean, how can I write for you guys if I'm off partying with the Fusion chicks? A man has to make sacrifices.
In keeping with Katrina's latest Soap Journal column, I am going to do my lists of 10 positives things about each show, so here's mine about AMC: 1 - I am so excited about Ryan returning that I could knock off my own hat. 2 - Mark Pinter moment!! Hoooo wahhh!! 3 - I LOVE how AMC actually uses their veteran cast from time to time. 4 - I appreciate that AMC has always been more open to interjecting the occasional gay storyline here and there. 5 - I swear to God I saw Derrick last week! 6 - I love that Simone and Tad got together and just knocked one out. 7 - I love the way Mary managed to insinuate herself right into Adam's home and life. Very smooth! 8 - Reggie is wonderful and Michael Jordan just keeps getting better and better. 9 - The scene at the clinic between Bianca and Kendall had me reaching for the tissues.
10 - David has been just wonderful lately. OLTL
Don't expect to see Antonio in Statesville walls (although he will, I'm told, be seen in that snappy prison jumpsuit). Under some strong haranguing by Nora and Evangeline, RJ will confess that Keri left a suicide note and save the day. Such a pity. I liked it much better when the story was that she was mistaken for a hooker and killed to be kept quiet. The 10: 1 - Vickers, Vickers, Vickers 2 - Dorian, Dorian, Dorian 3 - I'm hooked by the mystery of how they will bring back Al. 4 - I'm also floored by the performances of Hutchinson, DePaiva, Marston and Brier around Al's death. It was an amazing body of work. 5 - The rivalry between Dorian and Viki is ready to bank on the starboard bow... over a guy. It doesn't get much better than that. 6 - Starr is always so much fun to watch! 7 - Love Blair's engagement ring! You won't see that baby on Shop the Soaps! 8 - Can I please get some more Nigel and Roxy? 9 - I'm grateful that the powers that be chose to end the awkward relationship between River and Adrianna. It's not any faulting of either actor; it just fell flat for some reason. Keep River, though! I love his interaction with the Cramer women all around! 10 - I am enthralled with Trevor St John's performance as Walker/Todd.
The info may not be flowing like a mighty river, but there are some mighty rumors about, arrrr, I say. Hmm. That reminds me. We're suffering quite a Deppicit around here:
Ah. Much better. Where were we? THAT's right. GH rumors. First, did you notice that the opening montage was changed slightly? Then was changed back in places? Did you see the final adjustment occurred right about the time Tony Geary came back from vacation? No coincidence. In fact, I have it on authority that since his return in particular, Geary is taking a heavy hand in script writing and is, in fact, "rewriting every script."
One perceptive EOS reader hit the nail on the head by suggesting that the Stefan we are seeing now is actually Stavros under a skillful surgeon's knife with the real Stefan stashed away by Helena, leaving an opportunity for Stefan to return at a later date as the real deal. Will we get a hint of this at Stefan's funeral when Helena comes to pay her disrespects? I asked around and had it confirmed, that yes, this is one of the possibilities being discussed and the wardrobe department was specifically told NOT to get rid of Stefan's clothing after Nichols left the role, so even though fur was bristling at Nichols' assuming control of the character's final days, all bridges are definitely not burned. My thought is that if what we're seeing has been re-written by Geary and Nicholas, what kind of mess was it before they got to it? Yikes. Wait... Katrina... must... think.... positive... happy... golden... lining... That being the case, I have no comment on Frons' dumbass, meandering, self-serving statements to tvguide.com. Wretching and vomiting often leaves me speechless.
Brad Maule will actually be around a bit as Dr Tony later this month and then, of course there's SAGE starting November 10th. ;)
Dammit. Sadly, one true rumor is that Johnny is being written off the show (killed off screen) by having him betray Sonny. Evidently, one particular writer has had it out for Egan since he and a few heavier hitters (ah ah ah MO AND NLG CHOOO!!) refused to do the "Johnny rapes Alexis" scenes and hoped he'd leave voluntarily with little or no screen time. When that didn't work, they determined to write him off in the most humiliating way possible, so he became a traitor that Sonny and Jason discuss as having being killed for his treachery. We do not see his killing onscreen; only hear it referenced by Sonny and Jason. Such a tragedy and a damned shame. You'll also notice that around the time Alexis was supposed to get pregnant, she started becoming the writers' favorite whipping post. Another coincidence? I think not.
The Sage Topic for this week? Go to Katrina's board and write out a few things you really do like about GH. No snarky shit, either. Be genuine. Here are my 10 Things: 1 - Coleman 2 - Luke 3 - Tyler Christopher 4 - Stephen Nichols for rewriting the crap he was given. You go dude! 5 - Mmm. Alcazar. 6 - A character named Sage 7 - Ned's dimple 8 - NotDead Lily 9 - Jason knowing instinctively that if there was a high heel mark in the cemetery, it was Lily's. I'm sure no other females ever go to that cemetery :) 10 - Dillon! 11- Tracy coming back 12 - Mac's ass Hey, I did 12! This really works, Katrina!!!
Love to you all, Darlings!! Sage adores
you!
