Welcome to ME!!
Honey, you're either going to "get" me and know my heart and my intent or you're not going to "get" me at all. If you don't, know your limitations and just back away from the keyboard after clicking the little "X" in the box on the upper right corner of your browser window, ne'er to return again. May you have happiness all of your days. If you enjoy what I do, then pull up a chaise by the pool and stay a while. If that's the case, you're the very person I'm writing this column for anyway. I don't write to please the masses or kiss anyone's ass. Everything you read here will be from my heart, off my cuff and dead on honest. If you want a good read designed to offend no one, go to ABC.com because they are great at what they do. If you want to hear what I really think about soaps, life, etc, then WELCOME! This is an opinion column filled with gossip and rumors and, well, my opinion. It may not agree with yours and I'm good with that. *Please also note that this is NOT a spoiler or "exclusive info" site...it's a GOSSIP page and what we are discussing might be a RUMOR or a SPOILER, but isn't guaranteed to be what hits the screen. I'm NOT in the business of or interested in breaking the exclusives.* I suggest that if you want to read on, you make peace with that as well and leave your weapons with my Marshall, Lenore, before you enter town. You'll get them back when you leave. Believe me, you'll need them for some sites on the net and I don't want my loveys to go unarmed into war! Remember to click that smiley globe in the links above to help EOS and search from the search engine above to help even more! HOW TO DO "SAGE'S SEARCH."
Note: Due to the large volume of e-mail he receives, Sage regrets that he is unable to personally answer each e-mail. He wants you to know that he reads each and every one (some 2-3 times) and greatly appreciates your communication. Please DO NOT ask Sage for further info on what is going to happen on the shows. Any information he has that he can share will be put into his column ASAP!

Sage is just sick as a cat in a dryer, honey! I feel terrible!
What I thought was just a stupid cold that Katrina breathed on me OVER A WEEK
AGO has turned out to be cold and flu and all kinds of nastiness and whereas SHE
snorted and snotted for a couple of days and then got better, I've been crawling
my dumb ass out of bed every few hours to check e-mail, look in on the message
boards and try to be a presence, albeit a sicky icky one. I know this has
got to blow over soon, unless I've got something like mono or its Gen X cousin,
Epstein Barr or something. If you think these soaps are bad under the best
of circumstances, you should watch them with owie ears and a stuffy head
and a stomach that is fighting the Battle of the Little Big Horn with _______
(insert whatever you ate last). You'll really puke then.
AMC
What th' frig was THAT? I thought I was watching the Grammy awards all over again seeing the Fusion girls in their Whore Couture uniforms, no doubt painfully selected at Slutz R Us. Maybe since they had to make Simone look like a hooker for the storyline, it became essential that all of the dresses look like prostitute garb so that Simone wouldn't stand out. Simone sounds more like Eartha Kitt every time I hear her voice. I had to laugh at the spoiler that said the Fusion girls realized they were going to have to be more professional now that they are moving up in the world and I hoped that extended to wardrobing.
I'm grateful that Jake is riding into the sunset and only regret that he isn't being killed off (that I've heard so far). Instead, it seems he's limping off with his tail between his legs and his whimper relegated to thought bubbles over his head. Zzzz. I heard that Michael Lowry was petitioning to return to the role of Jake, but ABC shot down that idea and canoodled Jake right out of Pine Valley without a second thought about it.
Speaking of leavings, looks like they've finally given up on the oft recast role of JR, who is also going to be *going away* under whatever premise. That role is also not looking to be recast.
STILL I'm getting no info on Finola Hughes leaving. Keep your eyes and ears open, folks!
With Sam Page leaving as Trey, I've heard two stories of departure. One is of him dying, possibly as a result of the conk on the head that poor Reggie gave him (delayed reaction of some kind) and the other is that he actually does end up going to prison for arson. How that one pans out definitely remains to be seen.
The big question is what will then happen to two of my favorite characters, Reggie and Rachel Gannon. I know she's not Rachel Gannon on AMC, but I can't think of her character's name and I'm too yukky feeling to look it up. Sheila? Janet? Janelle? ...whatever.
I still really enjoy the presence of Lysistrata, regardless of her client of the moment. I think my favorite Lysistrata moment so far was when she said, "Give me a push" and "Thank you, Liza," knowing Adam would not have budged. It feels as though a bit of thought was actually put into her character and it's things like that that I really appreciate.
OLTL
Although the writing just sucked out loud, I *loved* the OLTL fan episode. The western was great and Clint did not disappoint. It was wonderful to see the Buke boys back together again and Natalie just looked knock-out gorgeous as a blonde. Erika Slezak looked like the diva she is in that beautiful dress and was the consummate hostess.
I thought I was going to hate The Vortex all the way until the last few minutes, then Jen died and suddenly it was the best segment of all.
The biggest hoot was the Licensed to Kiss bit. It was obvious that Tim Stickney was having a blast playing a character so far off of RJ and was a joy to watch. I loved seeing Luna again and the book of Luna's Wisdom was almost as funny as Roxy being named Roxy Goldmuff (AND she's blonde). I must have watched for a good 2/3 of the bit before I realized that the thing on her arm was (duh!) a muff... a gold muff, in fact. Jimmy DePaiva should definitely consider keeping the facial hair. It was very much his friend.
Speaking of the DePaivas, I also loved the Broadway show segment that featured Starr, Blair, Rae, Todd and Viki. It was just a lot of fun and very cute. I thought it was great how we were able to see the starts playing characters who were so different then their usual ones.
The Nora-Lindsay lovefest was another great part of the show and seeing Tad in full on Cad for two shows was awesome. I can't say that I thought the Doris Day look did Lindsay any favors, but it was still fun.
As I said, I thought the writing and development of each of the Fan Fantasy OLTL stories was horrendously bad, but what I enjoyed about it was exactly what I set out to see, which was watching the characters I love doing different things in bizarre circumstances and in that respect, it delivered in trumps. For OLTL and AMC, I can honestly say that I believe they did choose from fan ideas, but I am highly suspicious that The Vortex stemmed from 90% of fans saying, "Just kill Jenn and I'll be happy." Flash? Why is she a major character these days? Doesn't she need to earn a few more credits before she gets fantasy status?
In case you were wondering, that WAS Nathanial Marsten as the Voice of the Night DJ through sweeps.
Get ready for Al to have a drug addiction. As if I wasn't already puking...
A person recent on the set confided that some of the most fun people to work with on OLTL are Hillary B. Smith, Catherine Hickland and Kassie DePaiva. Linda Dano is also cited as being very considerate of the people with whom she works, from the stars right down to the extras on the set.
Pity that Dorian won't be having any scenes with Victor as I'd hoped. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing her interact with Mitch and that should definitely come about because from what I hear, Roscoe Born (aka God) has signed a four year contract.
I'm so pissed that my precious, beloved Liz is going to be written off so permanently and so quickly. sill in such a pout.
I'm feeling pretty yukky right now, so GH will have to follow tomorrow. I'll get it posted as soon as I can.
For now, I'd just like to mention that our Eye on Soaps fees are due the first week of the month and if anyone would like to donate to help us stick around, that would be just great. Our hits per day have continued to climb into the 5 digit mark, which is really exciting. That does cost bandwidth gone mad, so any contributions you send are greatly appreciated. You can find out how to help us out by clicking here. Although you may not be able to tell in the midst of the popup hell that is our site, thanks to the contributions we've been receiving, we have been able to let go one of the popup accounts, so there's now one less window to X out. Just trying to stay afloat darlings, because you know I don't want to lose ya!
Much Love,
