I used to have a long disclaimer here for the confused and manners-challenged people who don't know the difference between a "rumor" or "gossip" and an actual spoiler, but screw it. Angry, bitter, small minded people will always talk their trash to compensate for their own 1st chakra frustrations and inadequacies. When you read those vicious people on the message boards, just shake your head and remember they aren't getting any play, so they're grumpy. Pity them, then dismiss them.

Jane Elliot has signed on with General Hospital for a three year contract to play Tracy Quartermaine. It is reported that her first day back on screen will be November 14th. Now THAT is something to be thankful for! Can't wait to see her steaming things up with Ingo, as well as sparring with Skye and Monica. Anyone care to see her mix it up with Stefan and Helena? That's my vote!
Two good bits of Constance Towers newsbits. One is that Helena's first day back on GH is October 15th. No word yet on whether or not she'll have Kate's best boy, Andreas in tow. ;o) Our Cynic knows how to pick the men! Next Helena news involves you! Little Column, BIGGG News! ABC has confirmed that Emmy award winning actress, Jane Elliot, will be returning to GH on a more permanent basis. Her first air date is November 14th. Elliot says, "I'm very, very excited about GH." ABC Soaps In Depth still insists that there's a "second chance" for OLTL's Al & Marcie, but it's a marketing ploy. They've been talking Nathaniel Marston reprieve since word of his departure was released, but my sources still say he's gone. :o( We can hold a hope... a tiny one, but not much more. Rumors of GH being cancelled are completely false. While watching one of my favorite shows, "Star Trek The Next Generation," I was surprised to see Tracey's main man, OLTL's Dan Gauthier, playing Ensign Lavelle. I've heard another wave of veteran actors are about to be let go from all three shows between now and the end of the year. Brian Frons is determined to bring all of the stories into the younger generation. WRITE those letters requesting to see the people you aren't seeing now and write them to the actors, not the administration! That's the only way to be heard at all. News of Stephen Nichols' departure from GH are premature. Notice he's in the opening credits now! Hold your breath and make a wish: Rumors are that Tony Geary is coming back to a big script for him, Stefan and Helena. He's the one vet that the powers that be actually do want to keep and they're willing to shift for him. Blonde Lily is going to shake up Port Charles with her arrival. Sure, Alcazar's orchestrating it, but there just might be a twist that even he doesn't expect. Doesn't Lilly Melgar preserve well? It's good to see her back without the Goody Goody bravado. I Bitch, Therefore, I Am... I have struggled with this particular column. Overall, I try to be a pretty positive guy. Lately, I've found it more and more difficult to say nice things about any of the three ABC shows I'm able to watch. AMC I am completely not captivated by the story of Bianca's rape, largely because I just don't get it. I am not at all downplaying the horror of rape, so please don't bury me under e-mails berating me for my gender's misfortune of "not getting it." It's horrible. I don't like the character of Bianca and never really have. That whole "holier than thou" whining thing has never appealed to me. Cool if you dig her; I don't. The scenes today of Erica and Bianca together put chills up my spine. I'm sick about the treatment of Lena and Bianca's relationship. It's sweet that the powers that be are looking to re-establish the friendship between Bianca and Maggie, but people need to GET REAL with the fact that Maggie is straight!! Those who keep trying to push Maggie and Bianca into being lovers are making the gay population look bad by fulfilling the stereotypes that we try and turn straight people to our nefarious gay ways. Maggie has been clear on her sexual preference and I don't think she's "confused" or in denial. I think she's straight. It's cool they're friends, but a scary number of people are really pushing for their pairing and that makes me a bit queasy. Lena, however, is very much in love with Bianca and I think Bianca feels the same. Sure, she might need to get her head in order over all that's happened, but Lena needed to be involved with this and the intentional pushing of her to the outer walls and locking her away is just wrong. Bianca had already forgiven her and they were on their way to Prague when the rape occurred and as soon as Michael Cambias left the building, the locks were changed and Lena was a nonperson. Is it any wonder she's confused? All she has for answers in Maggie barking at her like a pit bull and whatever she hears on the news reports. I enjoyed the scenes between NunununuJamie and Tad, then Tad's with Joe. All very nice work. I liked Jackson and David together, but it served to remind me of how sloppy and insignificant Anna's departure was. It was all very much too "all in a day." I didn't feel any intense buzz between Anna and David. I didn't believe she left without telling anyone. I didn't believe she didn't speak to Jackson. It was just all very tired and indifferent. One of the few things I am enjoying about the show is the intrigue of the Michael Cambias murder or not. I can see that it's dragggging out without anything new happen. I loved that the involvement of Palmer, Opal and Adam, but that's getting lost in the mists of Kendall marrying or killing or whatever she did with Michael Cambias. I'm sick to death of anything having to do with Fusion and might care about the Sexiest Man in America if any of the candidates were particularly sexy. It's a sin to even have a contest like that on the same show with Cameron Mathison. Having Kendall so close to having a real family, then cruelly jerking it away when she came up with the perfect way to right the wrongs committed by her presumably late husband. Turning the town pariah only means that no one in Pine Valley is sharp enough to figure out what she's doing and god forbid anyone give her five minutes to explain herself before they spit and bitch and throw her out of the room. Palmer, Palmer, wherefore art thou, Palmer?? News that Michael E, Knight has renewed his contract with AMC with the promise of a hot new story is encouraging, but sadly, they haven't extended that interest to veteran, David Canary, which is a crying shame. In my mind, Adam is every bit as much of an AMC necessity as Erica and it really upsets me that he's being treated so casually. I can't imagine Pine Valley without the Chandler touch and it's offensive to me as a long time viewer that this guy isn't under lock and key yet. On the Tad front, I heard that an offer has been extended to Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, OLTL & MEK's real life wife) to play Krystal, mother of new character Babe, as a love interest for Tad. I'd love to see CH jump ship since OLTL no longer has a clue how to use her and insists on reducing her to props for the young set. Which brings us to: OLTL I've got to give it to ABC. I recently heard that they fired GH's costume designer, but I think some makeup people bit the dust as well. All of a sudden, we had Emily on her deathbed, not looking like a pwetty pwetty princess, but looking appropriately like something the cat hacked up. THANK YOU!! At last, I could pretend a bit that she was sick!! Then we've got Al this week, in what has to be the most hated story of the year, if not the past 10 years, looking like a little punkin in his days of death and jaundice. Either they actually made him look yellow or the color is off on my TV. He was a sick looking little puppy, which only furthered my anguish over his death. What I'm hearing now is no reprieve, no ghost, no twin... no Nathaniel Marston. I hate this. Moment of silence. By the way ladies, we're having a big party over at the Ranch because at long last, She Who Would Not Die has at last gone to that big Life Wreckin Party in the Sky (I still haven't forgiven her for every single "Blah Blah Blah Maui" scene and how she pushed to ruin Rae's life. I'm also, to prove I'm fair, sick of hearing Rae bitch about everything she's lost and how done wrong she was when she stole someone's identity and fraudulently counseled vulnerable people!! I mean really! She should so be in jail). I hated her hair. I hated her voice. I loved her relationship with the Gannons when she first came to Llanview, but the second she hooked up with Antonio, it all went in the much used chamber pot. Bleh. The whole thing about her carrying her mother's baby and then lying about her death and then this psycho biz is just puke inducing. Buh-bye. Second happy bye bye is to Adrianna, who was poorly planned, badly written (no faulting the actor) and exceptionally boring. Nighty night. I have a feeling River is going to be shipped to Kassie (or boarding school) any day now. Kevin and Kelly - Hated it. Kevin is Lt Governor - Hated it. Natalie is a pool shark - Hated it except for Big Pussy. Love that Rack'em Up Ross. Where the complete hell is Natalie's Buchanan money? Isn't she rich? WTF? Love Walker and Blair and hope that keeps moving along. Love David Vickers and absolutely anyone, especially Dorian and I'd do about anything to get those two back together again. I was cheering when he called Kelly on her dishrag personality compared to the bright light she used to be. Loved Trevor St John playing Walker and Flynn... nice, nice difference in characters. Love Starr and Walker together and don't see nearly enough of that. I can't believe they have LEFT ROXY AND NIGEL in Atlanta City, the best story they've touched on since Mitch left, and not let us know what happened!! The Flash story has NOT been using Energizer because it's definitely run out of power. Does anyone care any more? *I* wanted to see her interacting with the Buchanans more. I wanted to see Clint spend more time with her and puhlease, can we dig into the couch cushions and come up with a few dimes to bring John Loprino back for a cameo to at least let Cord give his daughter a hug. Are we really to believe Flash has been in town this long and neither of her parents have checked on her? Lindsay is little more than whore material for the show any more and hasn't had a story since Sam was shot back in March. Her hot tangle with Troy before he left was definitely worthwhile, but didn't really constitute a story. I miss her. I still don't understand by Joey is a reverend again. Just because he married Jen doesn't mean the scandal went away. I guess St Timothy's makes up their own ethics. On GH, I'm hearing that the unexpected baby was a sham spoiler and isn't going to happen. The idea was that it would be Nikolas and Emily who'd meet the baby fairy and we know there is a lot of hot NEm action scheduled for this week, but I can't imagine much conceiving going on in that river of chemotherapy and other medication roaring through Emily right now. Of course, in Miracle Hospital, anything is possible. I think it was Rebecca Herbst's pregnancy that changed the tide on that one and the decision, which is still pending, of whether to write it into the script. Honestly, at this point from what I hear, the tide is leaning toward covering it up like with her last pregnancy, but the jury is still out. The forerunning idea is that LiRic breaks up, but not after one last tender, baby producing moment. In a moment of horror, I heard that it was being considered that Ric would rape Liz, producing their child. It sounded very Guza, but I really don't know how Ric could ever be redeemed after that, so with any luck, that idea will be scrapped. I'm also hearing that one of the writers is REALLY wanting to push ahead with the Carly and Lorenzo story. They're getting bored writing the same old Carly and Sonny stuff and are looking for new material to use while still keeping their favorite performers front and center. Bringing the Lily look alike on board to mess with Sonny's mind, particularly if a fake son is also produced, could really put a glitch into things and Lorenzo can use that to his advantage. The Journey wedding is set for November and no end is in sight for that couple. The rumors of Ned being killed off are bull, but rumors of Skye and Ned hitting the rocks are not. Wally Kurth just signed a strong contract and is expected to be around for quite some time. With Jax returning, there was talk of a Skye, Alexis, Jax triangle until Kelly Monaco came into the picture and now this couple has been reviled before they ever hit the screen. Good lord, folks, wait and see! Sure, it could suck, but it could also be good! We won't know until we see it. For all those who hated Livvie on PC and are cringing at her appearance on GH, I'd like to point out that a huge faction of people HATED Cady McLain on AMC and LOVE her on ATWT, so give it a chance before you start bitching about it. Lord knows we have enough going on that's real to start bitching about what's not even here yet. Instead, the inclusion of Cameron's head on the new GH opening heralds his contract status and we are looking at an Alexis and Cameron romance at last. It was good to see Alcazar's lovely face in those opening credits as well. I swear, Audrey has gotten more air time in the past 2 months than in the past 2 years. Excellent. I was pleased to see they actually had NY plates on Courtney's car today. Why is it that Lucky can't just believe that Lydia thinks Nik is hot and that's why she's working so hard to bed him? Yes, Sonny and Carly's baby will be named Morgan. That is sure to herald in a Jason and Sonny split, I'd think. So, like, I'm outta here for the week. Sorry the news is so short, but the ABC lockdown is a bear. I'll be thinking of you guys this week! Take care!

the role of Sage (smirk), daughter of the late Luis Alcazar, has
been cast in the form of
Eileen Boylan (right). Although Miss Boylan (16) is a newcomer
to daytime, she has appeared in several prime time shows such as
Baywatch and Bernie Mac. Lorenzo will be taking in Sage (mmm
hmm) and she will set her sights on Dillon Hornsby! And she
doesn't look like this any more. She sort of SORAS'd on her
own since this picture was taken.
