The Head
For those who do not know, Sage ended the saga of "The
Head" when he left to travel with Colin. He went to Kurt's
house, picked up The Head and said, "You win," walking out of the
house with it. Thusly, an era was ended. I don't think
I've ever laughed as hard as I did at Sage's head stories.
GH As It Should Be
Good Lord, I miss
my Sage. There will never be another like him.
Well, folks, that
winds up our Best of EOS for 2003. With any luck and a flood of
donations from readers, we'll be back in 2004 to recap the Best for
the year into which we have now entered. In going through this
collection of columns from our wonderful writers, I have had to take
time more than once to have a good, cathartic cry over the talented,
amazing writers that bless our website and more personally, my life.
How does that happen? How does one person (me) connect with
someone as insightful as Sherry Mercurio, as funny as JenJen, as
acerbic and snappy a dresser as Dayna, as deliciously cynical and well
read as Kate Brown, as ballsy and sharp as Coggie, as warm and open as
Kathy Hardeman, as unique and talented as Sage and as amazingly
acerbic and witty as our Carolyn Aspenson all at once?
Our Muse Writers are absolutely incredible and season our site
beautifully. When I started this website, I had no clue where it
would go and couldn't even imagine that it would be what it is today.
We've had some outstanding columnists who have stopped by for a while
to visit and then move on as real life took over: Naomi Hersh
Clackum (I miss you, Na!), Miss Adrian, DotCommentary, Chris Simons,
Victoria Russell (who still Muses for us from time to time), Stephanie
Cabrera, Tracey Warren, Karen Albeck and Angie Forby, among others.
I miss them all and feel so honored for the time they spent with us.
To
my amazing gals, I'd like to say thanks for more than three
unbelievable years. Come on, everyone. Group hug.
