First, it's important that we get some vital Spring humor out of the way:

Then on to the journal.  I actually managed to get a good bit done on the house yesterday.  Most of the time, I scrubbed the kitchen.  I cook dinner 99% of the time (as opposed to going out), so it gets a lot of use and it's absolutely amazing how grungy it can get.  I scrubbed down the cupboards and floor, dejunked the counters and cleaned the stovetop.  Did some laundry before the washer threw out its belt like a stripper flinging a g-string.  Eric will replace it tonight.  Slowly, the feng shui of the house is changing.  It's more open and airy now and I really like that.  I just wish I could paint the walls. The landlord has a lot of them as flat white paint and it's hard to clean them decently, so there are smudges and crap all over them.

Today and tonight, I put clothes on hangers, redo the family room, hopefully finish up some photo work and get them on the walls.

Last night, Dylan brought home "Ladybug."  His kindergarten class is the Ladybug Class and they have a mascot that is a big, really cuddly ladybug plush toy the the kids take turns bringing home.  You get Ladybug and Ladybug's journal where you have to write about what all you did with Ladybug while she was visiting.  Since there are 20 kids in the class, we get this thing once a month and I'm running out of ideas for how to entertain Ladybug.  They threw in a twist this time and included "Ladybug, Jr" who is a palm sized baby Ladybug beanie who tags along.  The thing is, as soon as it came into our house, Ladybug, Jr disappeared and I finally found him/her/it in the last second before Dylan had to leave this morning.  Until then, I was sure I was going to be labeled the ratbastard who lost Ladybug, Jr.  This was AFTER I totally forgot that today is a minimum day and the afternoon kindergarten (Dylan) had to go to school in the morning.  Delena reminded me about 10 minutes before they had to leave, so I scurried like mad and got him ready and out the door in time.  Now... ahhh...  blessed Spring Break.  No more pushing Delena out the door in the morning.  Free child labor.  I love it.

Speaking of labor, I should start cleaning.  We're going to have that stellar weekend, right?  I'm all over it, are you?

Love,

Good God, She's Verbose!  There's More!
